Tips to Identify Your Book's Target Audience - Finding Appropriate Reviewers

Just as marketing anything else, the first thing to do if you are marketing your new Kindle book is identifying the target of your book sale. You need to be sure that you are advertising your book to the right audience. Who do you think will normally be the buyer? Who would you say will benefit from your book?

Let’s take an example; if you have a fashion book focusing on overalls or work dress, your main target audience is most likely to be officers or businessmen/women. Since more women most probably read such a book than men, you had better focus your marketing on women.

Another way to increase your sales is by finding appropriate online reviewers. Find ones that review the genre you have written. Positive comments can be sale booster. Then, how to do this?

First, browse a list of book review sites. Google will help you find some. Ensure that the reviewers on the list have been used to reviewing books by small or self-published authors.

If you have found a suitable list, sort ones who have reviewed books in your category out. If the reviewer usually writes sport magazine, then their audience most probably do not meet your target. Unless their preference is listed in your directory, skim some of their reviews to identify their focus.

Learn their review terms and condition. Some may require books in different formats; some may not review eBooks. Send each reviewer an individual email.

Do your best to write a professional email. It is important in order that they would read your book. If you have learned the reviewer's terms and conditions, you will find what you need to include in your email. Generally, you will need to mention books title and genre, the format your book is available in, when the book will be available in other formats or print, what format they usually like, summary of your book, and so forth. Do not forget to thank them and enclose your contact information at the end of the email.

Get a hold of them as soon as possible when they respond. Supposing they want an electronic copy, send it straightaway. If they request a print copy and you can make it available, submit it soon.

Do not take amiss if not all reviewers respond to your email. Providing someone responds and says that you need to wait for your turn to be reviewed, be patient.  Even though it might not help sales initially, it might give you a lot of new sales and fans when they really review it. Patience is very important, especially when you are a still new.

Being a writer can be really exhausting and frustrating. You need to be persistent and learn much in order that your book sells well.  Book review contibutes much too such success. Apply the tips above to help you go on the right track. A high-quality Kindle book will let you see sales moving upward.
